One of our prestigious clients who is the No 1 in the telecommunication industry is looking for Account Manager – International Business Operations to work in their Colombo office immediately.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible to manage and develop strong relationships with International Gateway Operators and Other Carriers in order to drive incremental revenue from South Asian wholesale international voice operations.
• Ensure that the revenue targets are achieved as per the Business plans by maintaining the existing carriers and by on boarding new carriers to the portfolio and through effective management of the carrier base to maximise the retail and wholesale voice revenues and volumes.
• Responsible to achieve the stipulated revenue targets related to International Operations.
• Increase revenues lines through using the most cost effective traffic routing mechanisms, special partnerships arrangements with International Gateway Operators and providing special promotional deals.
• Responsible to enhance the international voice carrier portfolio by bringing in new International Gateway Operators and by partnering with possible Opcos.
• Establish partnerships with the top rated retail operators of South Asian Opco’s to grow international termination traffic.
• Work with International Gateway Operators and other Tier 2 operators to capture the wholesale market.
• Build partnership with Other Opcos to carry majority of inbound and out bound traffic.
• Grow the international termination market share by developing and formulating strategies and promotions to enhance the overall impact to the business and industry.
• Act as the main responsible person in on-boarding the new interconnections effectively and in an efficient manner.
• Conduct regular meetings, discussions in order to understand and interconnect the termination in a cost effective manner.
• Co-ordinate new carrier interconnects up to the commencement and until the operation is go live
• Co-ordinating with Regulatory bodies, Legal, Technical and billing teams for a smooth operation in new interconnects.
• Act as the main contact point for all commercial and operational concerns with international carriers.
• Manage assigned carriers by negotiating for traffic volumes, sharing information, and supporting for their requirements in order to improve the relationship status with international carriers.
• Manage assigned carriers by making bi-lateral/uni-lateral deals in order to improve the revenue and profitability.
• Ensure that all carrier payments are processed and paid on a timely manner to the International Gateway Operators by following up with internal units.
• Responsible to clear and sort out any carrier payment related disputes that may occur from time to time.
• Responsible to follow up and collect payments from operators that is due
• Assist / coordinate in any other issues, new opportunities with the partners.
• Maintain a close business relationship with live international gateway operators and other operators in order to build a healthy relationship.
• Attend interconnection conferences and bilateral visits to grow / maintain relationships
Coordinate constantly and stay up to date with rates of international carriers and local gateway operators and advise the management on the best-suited options that would enable the company to achieve blend of commercial and technical efficiency.
• Be up to date on the international voice business, by coordinating and working with relevant elements and conducting research in areas such as international call rates, local terminating rates, new technologies etc. and coordinate closely with relevant divisions in order to ensure awareness of changing rates, trends in the industry and other information of operational value.
• Develop a solid business intelligence network to gather market information / trends in the wholesale voice traffic transfers and suggest proactive measures to eliminate / minimize risks
• Provide assistance in gathering statistics for preparation of management reports.
• Assist the Head of ISBU in planning the annual business plans and budgeting process.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Business Administration or Business Management
• Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing
• 3 years’ previous experience in Sales
• Good Analytical Skills
• Good interpersonal skills and communication skills
