One of our prestigious clients who is the No 1 in the telecommunication industry is looking for Assistant Manager – International Voice Traffic Management to work in their Colombo office immediately.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for managing all International call routing for retail and wholesale operations in order to achieve commercial and operational targets and be responsible for driving international voice wholesale to maximize the revenue and the profitability by utilizing excess international bandwidth.
• Ensure International Voice Traffic Management is done using the most cost effective routing mechanisms by maintaining the stipulated quality standards and also be responsible for cost planning and Rate planning for the retail and wholesale business.
• This position will deal with highly technical Engineers of International Gateway Operators,
• Other Opcos and within Company group and will also include Traffic Engineering and Voice Planning.
• Ensure that the traffic origination cost is reduced by using the best cost effective traffic routing by carrying out system change requests and managing the international Network Bandwidth efficiently in order improve the profitability.
• Ensure that quality standards are maintained at all times and carryout improvements in the traffic origination to increase the current quality standards and services by sending routing change requests in order to improve customer satisfaction.
• Exchange maximum possible traffic volumes with International carriers by sending routing change requests and improve relationships with carriers.
• Identify possible international carriers for routing traffic by sending route testing requests in order to achieve cost savings to improve the profitability.
• Monitor carrier’s route quality on a regular basis by sending route testing requests and improve possible quality levels by communicating with the carriers.
• Verify the expectation of routing changes done by monitoring traffic in order to improve the profitability and quality of service.
• Identifying service quality parameter issues without delays which will enable rapid solutions to maintain quality levels by monitoring traffic in order to improve customer satisfaction.
• Detect large scale malware and fraudulent calls by monitoring traffic in order to minimize unrecoverable costs which will help improve the profitability and to improve customer satisfaction.
• Ensure that competitive rates are offered to International Operators to win wholesale traffic in the Asian Region.
• Ensure maximum possible rate margins are set using Pricing strategies in order to improve the profitability.
• Obtain the maximum usage from excess network capacity by setting and sending competitive rates in order to improve the profitability.
• Achieve least possible cost for wholesale traffic generation and manage International Bandwidth efficiently and effectively by sending routing change requests in order to improve the profitability.
• Offer best possible quality of service parameters for customers’ traffic by sending routing change requests in order to improve credibility and relationship with carriers and to increase the revenue.
• Identify facts/ issues related to any profitability reduction, and accelerate corrective actions by regular monitoring of business financial reports in order to improve the profitability.
• Identify issues related to Quality of Service, which will supports and accelerate corrective actions by regular monitoring business operational reports in order to improve relationship with carriers and revenue.
• Detect wholesale traffic drops promptly, which enables rapid recovery actions by monitoring traffic on a regular basis in order to improve quality and increase the revenue.
• Ensure that 100% system availability at all times by monitoring LCR software issues and platform issues, which enables fast corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain the systems accuracy and reliability by cross checking the reports, reference data and internal processes in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of users.
• Obtain possible solutions for identified issues in the CM system and LCR system by coordinating with IT support desk in order to improve the efficiency of the system and its users.
• Change and upgrade the CM and LCR system by identifying and purchasing necessary upgrades and changes to the CM and LCR system in order to improve the efficiency of users.
• Work with the System vendors for system related new upgrades, change requests, malware issues and any other technical related issues that cannot be solved through service desk.
• Develop strategies to combat future trends and market risks for the international business operations sustainability.
• Analyze market intelligence to reduce costs and prioritize business partner strategies for revenue improvements.
• Preparation of periodic operational reports and other reports in order to present to the senior management and the Group.
• Assist in analytics on voice Wholesale
• Assist in the business planning process

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree/Diploma in telecommunication Engineering or IT
• Partial Qualification of CIMA /CIM would be added qualification.
• Minimum 3 years in similar field
• 1 year in Network operations and Switching would be added qualification.
• Excellent Analytical Skills
• Good Communication Skills
• Should have special Knowledge of MS Excel and good working knowledge in other MS Office packages
