One of our prestigious clients’ who is into Boutique Hotel is looking for a Manager to work in their Galle office immediately.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must speak excellent English
• Must be computer literate and have knowledge of accounting
• Must have experience in the hotel industry in a managerial position
• Must be comfortable with hard work
• Must be flexible (the job requires long and changing work hours)
• Must be eager to learn
• Must show initiative and be good at problem-solving
• Must be service-minded and friendly
• Must be honest (we expect to see references from ALL prior employers)

THE JOB

The manager will work full time, but spread over three and a half full days a week – but often flexible. This means arriving at work at 7 am and leaving at 10 pm. But that the days can change at short notice.
• There are no specific holidays.
• It is a service industry, so an outgoing and friendly nature is a must.
• If the successful applicant lives in Colombo, accommodation in Galle will be provided.

DUTIES

Checking guests in and out

• Writing invoices
• Taking payment (cash or credit cards)

Guest relations

• Welcoming guests
• Handling any complaints
• Talking to them and making them feel welcome and seeing to their EVERY need.

Serving Breakfast

Staff relations

• Delegating jobs and overseeing staff welfare
• Quality control of the cleaning of rooms and hotel premises
• Arranging and overseeing repairs and tradesmen

Day to day running of the hotel

• Ordering goods from the supermarket
• Booking car hires
• Taking bookings
