One of our prestigious clients who is a Non Governmental Organisation is looking for Alternative Construction Specialist to work in their Colombo office immediately.

We are looking for a specialist in alternative construction materials and technology to support a housing project in Batticaloa, Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu funded by an International Organization. The specialist will be responsible for research, development and management of construction with locally accessible, alternative, appropriate, sustainable and cost-effective materials and technology under the project. The specialist will work in close coordination with the technical team and beneficiaries to incorporate alternative and low-cost material and technology into house designs, to increase acceptability of these materials and technologies and monitor their use.

Contract period : 2 years.

Qualifications

- Should possess a B.Sc. (civil), B.Arch or equivalent qualification

- Minimum of 5 years experience in the same capacity.

- Experience in passive buildings projects will be an advantage.
