One of our prestigious clients who is into Marine and Maritime sectors industry is looking for Marine Engineer to work in their Colombo office immediately.
Job Description
- To initiate activities to obtain ISO certificate for Training of Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch including documentation, evaluation of the quality system gap, training of managerial and technical skills, assistance in quality maintenance, internal auditing and renovation and control of the ISO process.
- To perform activities associated with the implementation of ISO requirements and specifications for the course.
- To facilitate a process to obtain Continues Discharge Certificate(CDC) for the B.Sc. Marine Engineering Extension Program as per guidelines of International Maritime Organization (IMO) and fulfill requirements for Standard of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers-(STCW) to implementation of IMO Model course 7.04.
- To provide consultancy to maintain IMO requirements. Establishment and implementation of Bridging Course and maintenance Trainee Seafarers discipline.
- To lias with the Director General of Merchant Shipping office (D.G.M.S. office).
- To coordinate internal and external audits to maintain the system in compliance with ISO 9001 and 2015.
- To conduct lectures and identify lecturers as and when required.
Qualifications
- Chief Engineers who posses qualifications such as Ph.D/ Extra Master & Extra First Class/ M.Sc in Shipping or relevant Maritime field or well experienced Chief Engineers with class I qualification will be factored in by the rating agencies.
